Bobbins and tools for lace making

There are many types of lace that are classified by the way that they are made. Bobbin lace is made by braiding and twisting lengths of thread which are wound around bobbins to keep the threads neat and managable.    This method of making lace dates back many centuries. The first record of bobbin lace was mentioned in a will by the Milanese Sforza family in 1493
