Wanlockhead Miners’ Library

This Grade A Listed Building supersedes three earlier buildings which were used to house the book collection and was built in 1850 with donations from the membership amounting to £126.00. The Library was founded on 1st November 1756 and is the second oldest workers’ subscription library in Europe.
