Kilmarnock FC on board S.S. Duchess of Atholl en route to Canada, 1930
In 1930, the Kilmarnock FC team embarked on a tour of
North America. The touring party began on 10th May, 1930 with a
train from Glasgow Central to Greenock, and then onward on the S.S.
Duchess of Atholl to Montreal, Canada. The Kilmarnock tour took
place mainly in Eastern Canada, but also included games in the US
states of Ohio, New York, and Massachussetts. The last game of
their tour was played on 26th June, 1930.
