Invitation to the unveiling of a bust of James Keir Hardie, Cumnock
Benno Schotz was commissioned by the J. Keir Hardie Memorial
Commitee to create a memorial bust of Hardie. The bronze bust was
unveiled on 19 August 1939 outside Cumnock Town Hall, accepted on
behalf of the inhabitants of Cumnock by Provost Nan Hardie Hughes,
Keir Hardie's daughter.
