Table or soup spoon, fiddle pattern

Maker’s mark: “HINCH / LIFFE” (impressed) Assay marks: tree, lion rampant (Glasgow) Date mark: “J” (1828) Duty mark: head of George IV   These large spoons were reserved for the serving bowls placed in the centre of the table and used for serving vegetables.
