Willow pattern dish
Dish with Willow pattern design. The distinctive Willow
pattern is a European interpretation and imitation of Chinese blue
and white ceramics. The design appeared in many homes from the
18th century on, with the mass production of decorative
tableware becoming more feasible as companies made use
of printed glaze transfers rather than more time-consuming
hand painted designs.
