Mauchline ware pin cushion

E. GLADSTONE".  The base of the pin cushion has a copy of Gladstone's signature.   W & A Smith of Mauchline, Ayrshire developed the manufacture of transfer printed treen, or wooden ware which became highly popular as gifts and souvenirs.
