Circular lace mat

Circular lace mat made in Darvel.   Lace can be made using a few different ways. For the home crafter: bobbin lace, made by braiding and twisting lengths of thread; lace knitting, a complex style of knitting known for 'stable holes'; and needle lace, made by stitching together hundreds of stitches are all viable techniques.
