William Marshall, a Stewart & a Cambell

William Marshall, left, with two other Scottish Travellers. The woman is a Stewart from Perthshire and the man a Cambell from Argyll. Like Galloway, Argyll and Perthshire at the turn of the 20th century were home to a large number of Traveller families. Stewarts still form part of the Traveller scene in north-east Scotland today.
