The Museum, Newton Stewart
Housed in the former St John's Church, the Museum contains a wealth of historical treasures, some pre-Victorian, with exciting and interesting displays of the natural and social history of Galloway. Exhibits are in several sections - Nursery, Tradesman's Tools, Dairy, Kitchen, Smithy, Textiles, Photographs and other aspects of local history.
The exhibits in the Museum have been gifted or lent by local people and each year sees many additions to the collections and displays.
