War Workers Badge (1)

Official badge issued to female munition workers during the First World War. This one was worn at the Gretna Munitions Plant. The badge showed that the wearer was a recognised war worker. The badge is an open triangle surrounding a crown. It has the legend ON WAR SERVICE and the date 1916.
