Norman style font

Part of a Norman Font from the old Church at Dunrod. Square in plan and each side about 62cm broad. The lower part is multicubical - with a cabled necking at the base - the whole developing to a circle where it has rested on a shaft or pedestal. The height is 46cm. The orifice of the bowl is 45cm across with a depth of 20cm. The drain at the bottom of the bowl is 7cm in diameter.   The font is now held at the Stewartry Museum.
