Crosshead arm, Kirkcudbright

A broken fragment, of the central boss of the cross and one of the four arms.   St Cuthbert's Church was a Northumbrian foundation, when Galloway was part of the Kingdom of Northumbria.  This fragment would appear to relate to this early church structure.
