Carved stone head, Dundrennan Abbey

Dundrennan Abbey was a Cistercian monastery established in the 12th century by Fergus, Lord of Galloway.  The extensive ruins of the abbey are managed and maintained by Historic Scotland.   Carved sandstone head, probably from an architectural feature on the external walls of one of the Dundrennan Abbey buildings.
