Bronze spearhead, Mochrum
Druchtag, Mochrum
A leaf-shaped spearhead. The greater part of the blade
survives but the tip and socket are absent.
This is a typical example of a late Bronze Age spearhead and
dates to around 1,000-800 BC. This is the most common late
Bronze Age spearhead type in Scotland and several examples are
known from Galloway.
