Bronze Spearhead
A small Middle Bronze Age looped, leaf-shaped spearhead found in
Rerrick Parish in the 19th century. It has a socket to
take a wooden (ash) shaft, which was secured by lashing a fibre or
thin leather strips through the hoops on the side of the socket.
This type of spearhead is generally dated to the period
1250-1000BC.
