The Stidriggs Hoard
A hoard of iron tools, and scrap metal, buried in a lead
vessel on the moors above Beattock.
Similar tool hoards are known from a few sites in England, but
this is the only known Scottish example. It probably dates from the
middle of the 10th century AD.
