Amber beads

Two amber beads.   These beads are similar to ones from Viking burials on Colonsay and Islay, as well as one from York. They were found in a ninth century building, and probably reflect increased Viking activity and contacts in the Irish Sea, though finds from Armagh indicate amber-working in the Irish Sea province before the Viking Age.
