Letter to R A Grierson from J M Barrie, 8 June 1924

Letter written by J M Barrie to R A Grierson, Dumfries Town Clerk, to make arrangements for the presentation of Barrie's Freedom of Dumfries Burgess Ticket.   Holograph manuscript letter, written on one side with the address pre-printed at the top.   Transcription:   8 June, 1924   Dear Mr Grierson I learn from Mr Geddes that you think Sept would be a good month for our function.  It is just possible that I might have to go to America during Sept, but the probabilities are against it, and otherwise any day in the third week of Sept that suits you would suit me admirably.  So kindly let me know which day of the week would be most fitting. With kind regards Yours Sincerely J M Barrie   R A Grierson Esq
