Sketch of Alexander Fleming from Dr John B. Simpson's Medical Sketchbook (1)

Dr John B. Simpson was a general practitioner in Newmilns, Ayrshire, from 1928 until his retirement in 1968.  The son of an Ayrshire minister, he studied medicine at Glasgow University and graduated in 1928. This is a sketch found in his sketchbook which contains sketches and newspaper cuttings of Simpson's medical contemporaries.  Also included are several loose handwritten sheets and one of them is entitled "Remembrance of 'The Vic'", (the Victoria Infirmary).
