Scott - Ellis, Lord Howard de Waldon Coat of Arms

In 1917, Thomas Evelyn Ellis, 8th Lord Howard de Walden decided to change his family name from Ellis to Scott-Ellis, and to change his coat of arms to show that he had inherited Kilmarnock Estate from Henrietta Scott. This was the new coat of arms which shows the families of Ellis (the black cross with 5 crescents) and Scott of Balcomie.
