Morion
Morion helmet which is similar to a burgonet in style. On each side it has been embossed with a fleur-de-lys of bright steel on a blackened background. The fleur-de-lys was meant to represent a lily, which was a symbol connected with the Virgin Mary. The helmet is completed with a raised comb on top and a neck guard. Helmets of this type were worn by the Landsknecht mercenaries of the period famed for their prowess with large two-handed swords.
