Model Armour for Man and Horse
This model was commissioned by the 8th Lord Howard de Walden and
is likely to have been designed and made by Felix Joubert. Most
19th century collections of armour contain models of this sort,
probably bought to show as an example of what a complete armour
would have looked like in action.
The army museum in Paris has 2 original armours set up in this
way to illustrate a highly dramatic combat.
