Imperial quart measure, Burgh of Dumfries, 1707

Union imperial quart capacity measure, 1707. Verification marks are present around the rim, legend and royal crests including crowned rose and crowned thistle motifs are around the main body. This measure is countermarked for issue by Stirling, and is part of a gallon, quart and pint set issued to Scottish Burghs in 1707.  See related items below.   Inscription: side - AR [crown motif above] / PRIMO MAII 1707
