100ft tape measure, County of Dumfries, c1960

100 foot steel tape measure in brown leather casing.  One side of the tape is marked with with inches, the other with links.  The central brass winding mechanism does not work and as a result will not retract into the casing.  This measure failed its last calibration test.  It has only one verification stamp dated 1960 on the end of the steel tape.   Inscription: case - 'JOHN RABONE & SONS / BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND' tape - '6791 / LONDON / RABONE / MADE IN ENGLAND / CALIBRATED AT 62oFAHT AT 10LBS'
