'Going Doon the Water'
This glass plate slide shows an unidentified steamer taking tourists 'Doon the Water'. This was a popular thing to do and a great way to see the Scottish Coastline during the early years of the twentieth century, the popularity of these excursions dwindled after the second world war (due to many of the boats being given other duties during the war years or being sunk by German aircraft or anti-shipping mines).
