Picture cards
These two cards have each been printed with a hand-coloured
photograph. One shows a Japanese woman in a kimono holding
flowers. The other shows three women with parasols out for a
stroll. Both have the message 'Wishing You A Merry Christmas and A
Happy New Year' printed on the back, and are signed with the name
Walter. The cards must be mid Meiji era (1868-1912) or later
because they are clearly designed for the Western market.
