Lochnaw Castle

Two well-dressed Edwardian cyclists pose by their machines on the drive leading to Lochnaw Castle.  The Castle presents a mixture of styles and dates.  The building seen to the left in this photograph is the original late 15th century towerhouse.  To its right is the L-plan mansion built in 1663 for Sir Andrew Agnew.   Beyond is the massive block of an early 19th century extension that was demolished in the 1950s.
