Two-handed Lowland Sword

When most people think of two-handed Scottish swords they usually think of the Highland Claymore with its large sloping quillions.  This however is an example of a type of long, wide bladed, two-handed sword which was made and commonly used in Lowland Scotland.  This one has 'S' shaped quillions and a 'shell-guard' which protected the weilders hands.  There is mention of swords of this type being used by Border Reivers.
