Fragments of Horse Harness, Old Luce

Luce Bay, Old Luce.
These pieces of horse harness made from jet were found at Luce Bay, Old Luce. Jet is a fine grained form of resinous coal. Some of the jet ornaments found in Scotland at this time were made of jet from near Whitby in Yorkshire.
