Silver Sceatta of King Eadberht and Archbishop Ecgberht

This coin is unusual in combining the dies (coin stamps) of king and archbishop.  Ecgberht was the Archbishop of York from 734 to 766.  He was also the brother of Eadberht, the Northumbrian king named on the reverse of the coin.   One side has the legend EOTBERT EhTV round a central cross in a circle.  The other side had ECGBERhTR to the left of the figure of the archbishop who is holding two crosses.  This coin is unique.
