Early Historic pennanular brooch terminal (fragment)

This is a fragment from a large penannular brooch, and one of two decorative terminals.  It would have been used to fasten a cloak or similar garment round the shoulders.  Found by metal detector and allocated to the Stewartry Museum by the Treasure Trove Advisory Panel.   Flat, gilded copper alloy circular terminal plate with incised interlaced decoration, and a blue glass bead set centrally.
