Matthew Fowlds
Matthew Fowlds of Fenwick was the last Hand Loom Weaver in the area. He lived to the age of 100.
This portrait shows him at his loom in his centenery year, 1906. His loom was in the cottage in which he and his wife also lived and brought up their family.
