Dagger sheath belonging to Leiutenant General Colin MacKenzie

Sheath of a dagger owned by Leuitenant General Colin MacKenzie, an Annan man, when he was attacked and left for dead in Afghanistan in1855.  He survived the attack and on his return home kept his coat, hat and dagger sheath in rememberance and donated them to the museum after both he and his wife had died.   Carved leather dagger sheath.
