Cadell, London; William Creech, Edinburgh, 1793.  Second edition, considerably enlarged.   Binding: Light brown leather on board; tooled & gold decoration on covers and spine; title, date and volume number on the spine in gold; marbled end-papers; cream wove paper with yellow edging. Marks: Embossed "Burns Monument Kilmarnock" on the title page. McKie private library numbers "27" & "28".   Illustrations: Engraving of Burns after Nasmyth (I. Beugo) facing the title page of volume I.   Comment by James McKie: "Nice edition but very imperfectly printed. James M'Kie."   There are some corrections in pen throughout, probably by James McKie.
