Tam O'Shanter Inn, Ayr

Although this image was taken around about the start of the twentieth century, the Tam O'Shanter Inn on Ayr's  High Street, remains much the same today and probably looked much the same back in the time of Robert Burns when he set it as the starting point for Tam O'Shanter's drunken journey.  It is today still a pub and the last thatched building in Ayr.
