Quart jug

This jug was made to compliment the punchbowl (DUMFM:1934.1) given to the Seven Trades in 1806.   The property of the Seven Trades was auctioned on 8th April 1854 and became separated. Over the past 100 years these objects have been acquired by Dumfries Museum. This jug was donated to the museum in 1945. A further two similar jugs are in the museum collection.
