Dewar Curling Challenge Trophy
Silver shield on wooden mount. Presented to Wanlockhead Curling Club for annual competition, by Sir Thomas Dewar in 1912. Top part of shield bears Scottish Coat of Arms – Lion Rampant Shield flanked by two unicorns and and headed by bear holding sword and sceptre. Below is legend ‘Nemo me impune lacessit’. Below central curling scene is title ‘DEWAR CHALLENGE TROPHY’. Winners names are inscribed annuall from 1913 to 1930 with exceptions of 1924 & 1928.
