It is inscribed, " Kirkmichael Brown Owl from Amisfield Brownie
Pack on the occasion of her marriage 23rd Feby 1928"
It was presented at a Christmas party organised by local Brown
Owl and bride to be, Miss Adeline Lorna Duncan of Newlands. She was
to marry John George Lyon of the Kirkmichael estate who had just
returned from six years working in China.
