Jean Sarah Maxwell (1908 = c1973)
Born at Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, North Wales. Daughter of Robert Dickson
Maxwell and Mary Hyslop, his wife. Educated at Laurieknowe School, Maxwelltown
and Dumfries Academy. Served as a clerk first to a firm of cChartered
Accountants in Dumfries (Messrs Robison and Carson) and latterly in the
Education Offices of Dumfries County Council.
