The Silver Arrow, Kirkcudbright

This is a model arrow given to the Incorporated Trades of Kirkcudbright by a local merchant William Johnston, Kirkcudbright.  It was to be used as the prize by the apprentices of the Trades whenever the 'Silly Gun' was competed for.   A silver model of an arrow, with the inscription 'To the Trades Lads of Kirkcudbright, from William Johnston 28th June 1838'.
