Invalid cup
Cups like these were used to help feed people who were ill and
laying flat in bed. Due to the consruction of the cup, food needed
to be relatively runny. Food like bone broths or pap (a mix of
diluted milk and flour) were put into the openings and patients
would be propped up slightly so they could 'drink' their food from
the spout.
