Glove in production - stage 5

These gloves have been shrunk and felted to produce a warm, hard-wearing fabric.   The fingers were knitted so that they overlapped and when pressed they lay on top of each other.  The thumb was inserted to one side of the palm.  Today many gloves do not fit well because their fingers lie flat and the thumb is inserted on the side of the glove.
