James & Archibald Dalziel

James and Archibald Dalziel, known working dates 1770 - 1778. This was a father and son partnership. The son, Archibald, was later a partner in the firm of Dalziel and Hunter which went bankrupt in 1779. Joseph Pearson and John Stewart also used the "S" in a serrated punch. Property owners listed in the sasines of 1761 - 1780 include "James Dalziel of Loch Arthur, Jeweller."
