Park Path and Lauder Bridge
Lauder Bridge was opened at the turn of the twentieth century and has since been replaced. In the background you can see Dean Castle. As the roof of the castle's keep has not yet been restored, it shows that this picture was captured before 1912, it may in fact have been taken on the opening of the bridge in June 1905, if so then it must have been taken before the opening ceremony as shortly afterwards the press of people eager to use the new crossing caused a cable to break and the bridge collapsed injuring 8 members of the public!
