Kinmount House, Dumfriesshire

Kinmount House sits around 4 miles from the town of Annan in Dumfries and Galloway. The house was built between 1813 and 1820 for the 6th Marquess of Queensberry by Sir Robert Smirke - one of the leaders of the Greek Revival architecture.    The house was used as a hospital during both the First and Second World Wars, and more recently, it was owned by British track athlete Steve Ovett between 1988 and 1998.
