Kenmure Castle
Kenmure Castle, near New Galloway in Dumfries and Galloway, sits
on land that has been occupied since the Middle Ages. Now in a
ruinous state, the mansionhouse incorporated a17th century castle.
Kenmure Castle was the seat of the Gordon family who were later
raised to the peerage as Viscounts of Kenmure by King Charles I in
1633.
