Craufurdland Castle
Craufurdland Castle has been the home to the Craufurd family
since 1245, when the lands were acquired by the 2nd son of Sir
Reginald de Craufurd. The keep was built around the 1300s, with
later additions of the Laird's House in the 1600s. In the early to
mid 1800s, the gothic facade to the castle was added along with
other portions of the current castle including the library and
drawing room.
