Horse Chestnuts
Horse chestnuts trees and their deep brown conkers are for many
the essence of Autumn. Conkers are formed when insects pollinate
the
horse chestnut flower. These flowers then develop into glossy,
mahogany conkers inside a spiky, vividly green husk.
