Horse Chestnut Flower

Conkers are for many the essence of Autumn, but how do conkers develop?   Blush-hued horse chestnut trees flower in May, and once they are pollinated, the deep brown conker begins to form. They develop over Summer, and in Autumn, fall to the ground.   Do you remember playing with conkers when you were younger?
